Autobiography
I'm Mateja Srejic, a 16-year-old tech enthusiast from Subotica, Serbia. My journey in technology began at nine with Scratch and App Inventor. At eleven, I had already published multiple apps on the Play Store. At twelve, I continued to expand my knowledge with Python and C++. Besides static, console, and mobile development, I have a strong understanding of web development. Today, I develop platforms like EduCompass, helping students across Serbia choose their educational paths easily and effectively. Driven by my passion for impactful technology, I have developed applications and projects that address real-world issues, from educational tools to environmental monitoring. Besides programming, I’m deeply committed to competitive programming, math and sports, and I’m always eager to learn, innovate, and contribute to my community.
What are my characteristics?
Programming is my forte, and I’ve proven my skills through numerous awards in national and international competitions in math, languages and computer science. I’m independent, resilient, and approach every challenge with determination, creativity and with a sense of purpose, aiming not just to solve problems, but to create solutions that have a lasting and positive impact even after my part is done. I actively participate in summer camps and conferences, further expanding my skills in web development, artificial intelligence, project management and design. I’m passionate about learning and regularly contribute to my community by mentoring others. I’m also deeply curious and always experiment with new tools and frameworks to keep expanding my technical horizons. Above all, I balance my dedication to technology and education with a love for physical activity by playing tennis and regularly participating in marathons.
