Autobiography
I'm Mateja Srejic, a 15 year old student from Subotica, Serbia. Since I was young, I have had a huge passion for technology, specifically programming and software in general. At nine years old, I started my journey by learning drag-and-drop, no-code builders such as Scratch and App Inventor. At eleven, I had already published multiple apps on the Play Store, of which one received the first prize in the contest Project Week. At twelve, I continued to expand my knowledge with Python, with which I have had significant success in CS competitions. Not too long ago, cryptocurrencies got my attention. However, due to the considerable risks of such trading, I'm mainly focusing on programming. Besides static, console, and mobile development, I have strong knowledge in the web development field. During a one-year period, in addition to creating two websites for clients, I have also started numerous projects myself. Furthermore, I am simultaneously learning C++.
What are my characteristics?
Programming is my most vital point, as I have proven in multiple competitions. I am of an independent and consistent character. I never give up without solving a problem to its fullest extent and best possible way. I participate in many online courses held by organizations, including the Mathematical High School and Computer High School in Belgrade and the Centre for young talents in Novi Sad. Since the beginning, I have regularly been occupying first places in the district and the national level in competitions including Maths and Computer Science. In addition, I am a member of many international conferences held by non-profits to students talented in the same interest areas as me. I follow the school program according to a special plan, named IOP3. Besides that, I play tennis, which I regularly attend after school and am passionate about.
